Peter Matzen represents the 8th generation in a brickmaking legacy dating back to 1750. Matzen Tegl is Denmark’s oldest industrial company still owned by the same family, with a continuous focus on craftsmanship and innovation.

Since 1988, Peter has led the company with a vision to blend tradition with modern architecture. Matzen Tegl produces hand- and soft-molded bricks known for their rich colors and custom formats. In 2025, the company launched its own sales organization, reinforcing its independence and customer focus. True to its heritage, Matzen Tegl creates bricks that “stand out in an unexpected direction.”

Today, Matzen Tegl is recognized for its artisanal approach to brickmaking, where color, texture, and mold techniques are carefully crafted to exceed both aesthetic and performance expectations.
